Happy birthday US Gamecube!

Post by Flodder450 »

Today a decade ago, Nintendo released the Gamecube in the USA, it came out a few days after the oXBOX, a year after the PS2 and 2 years after the DC

though not many GCs were sold in its lifespan (22 million vs. N64s 33million units) it made more of a profit then the oXbox did for microsoft, it didnt have many "good" games, rather two-three dozen great games, my personals include F-zero GX, Super smash bros melee, double dash, chibi robo, and super mario sunshine

talk here about the GameCubes 10th birthday!

Yesterday I was reading the latest edition of nintendo power and they celebrated the tenth anniversary of the gamecube by listing the top 25 games for the system. After reading the article, I think I am going to end up getting the cube again and the games that are on the list for the most part are really cheap at gamestop. I own the wii but for 15.00 I can get the controller or for 5.00 more I can own the entire system on ebay or a used game store.

I loved the cube, the Resident Evil and Zelda games made the choice clear for me.

I don't mean to plug my own work, but *cough*checkmyblog*cough*.

I love my 'Cube. It has served me very well these past many years, and thanks to the durability of the hardware, will continue to do so for many, many years to come. :) Happy 10th, you lovely lunchbox!

Dreamcast and GameCube are the kings of the 6th generation. The GC controller is so good, one of my favorites ever. And the games on it totally slay. Tales of Symphonia and Skies of Arcadia Legends FTW.

I like the handle on the console too. I have two GameCubes and when I work out I use them as dumbbells.

I was unlucky with my first GC, it always had the error message popping up, but i recently bought another one and it work great! The GC is one of my fav consoles, Resident Evil, Sonic Adventure, Killer 7. All my favorite games on one console!

I love the slick look of the black gamecube with the gameboy player. The wave birds match just enough with the memory cards and gray face. Cool system.

We need a top 25 gamecube games thread for the anniversary. I'd like to see Nintendo's list from the mag also.

I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I think about Gamecube. I love that system and I'm still collecting cube games today.
