Fake as hell. I can't imagine my wife doing something like this, as she can't name a single console I own (except maybe the Wii) nor can she match any games to the system they belong too.
This made me think of something though. The other day I was in a retro game shop and some guy sold his entire NES collection (with lots of CIB games) so he could buy a 3DS and some new games. Broke my heart.

Me? I'd be the one to sell a 3DS to get an NES CIB collection, although I hear that the new Super Mario on the 3DS is supposed to be really awesome.
Well, the last time anything like this happened to me was when my mom told me she mailed my one year old Sega CD to a family member across the state. I knew my mom was an idiot and wouldn't have packaged it correctly, so I blew my stack and left. She was convinced I had run away and called the cops.
The whole thing was stupid as she had just hidden my systems because she thought I was playing too much. If all of my game hardware and software were sold without my assistance I would laugh at whoever did it and make up a short list of how much money they lost because they didn't know what it was.
