What a load. Sure, the iphone has had an influence. In the past couple of years. I guess the 30 years leading up to that point are meaningless.

This actually really disgusts me. No actual video game historian, i.e. someone actually trained in the historical methods, would dare to repeat these baseless assertions. These people have no perspective.

Absolutely ridiculous... the whole thing, not just this alleged "most influential" award going out to someone who's clearly undeserving of the title. I understand some people are still paying homage to the man's life but this is a farce.

Personally, I really don't care about award ceremonies for the gaming industry in general... We, the gamers, know what's good and what's crap, and those among us who actually give a damn know who the real players in the industry are and what they have done to prove that they are the ones that really matter.
