I'm not talking about Ninja Gaiden. Rehashes don't count. I'm talking about this:

Some nice review scores, and it's supposedly a short game. Unlike your typical reviewer, I think that's a good thing.
So did the PS3 FINALLY get a game worth playing?

Yeah, this seems to be the first real worthwhile PS3 game. Motorstorm also seems OK. Still, because these games are short on content they seem more like what launch window titles should have been. It's taking the PS3 a year to get its legs.
If that $399 rumor is true, it looks like it might be getting one sometime around Xmas ... 2008.

For a while now I just can't figure out why some people are saying that there is nothing to play on the PS3. What about these titles:
Resistance
MotorStorm
Virtual Fighter 5
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Rainbow Six Vegas
War Hawk
The Darkness
Ridge Racer
And then there is online content as well. If you are refering to exclusive titles, then yeah there isn't as much going for it.

Yeah, I know that when I talk about this I think about exclusives. I think that this (still) early stage I tend to think of it as a cost-to-entry kind of scenario, and the 360 has some of the same stuff for a little less money overall.
But you're right, if you have a ps3 there's now a solid core of good stuff to play. I like how Sony has considered diff genres and demographics so far in what they are publishing. Resistance for the FPS crowd, Motorstorm for racers, Warhawk for online multi. And there's VF5, HS, Oblivion to hit three other crowds.

Only Vegas and Oblivion interested me and I already played them on PC. PS3 honestly is a total failure in my eyes, at least for now.

I just don't believe in buying a system until it has exclusives worth playing. I want there to be a real reason to own a PS 3, and having games like Oblivion is not justification to own it when I can just play that on a 360 or PC. People aren't going to line up to buy a PS 3 to buy Ninja Gaiden Sigma or Oblivion.
To me, a system is defined by its exclusives. Without great exclusives, a system has no identity. Sony is still lacking in that department, though Heavenly Sword looks interesting enough that I'd rent it if I actually owned a PS 3. It doesn't look like a killer app though, which is what Sony DESPERATELY needs especially with Halo 3 looming on the horizon
