Collecting just platform-exlusives?

Does anyone else here only collect - or just strongly prefer - platform-exclusive titles for his collection?

A game seems "neater" to me when it's just on one platform. Like it adds to the character of the console. Is that completely weird?

I try to get the "best" version available on consoles. If its exclusive, fine. If its on 4 consoles i want the best version or versions. Sometimes there are more than one i want because each version might have its own special exclusive content.

I wish I could do this more successfully. In fact, I'm gonna try it again and see if I can stick to it

I find that doing it that way forces me to end up finding games I would have overlooked otherwise.

I'd probably do this for the GameCube. There are a couple of games on there that I know another console's port is better (like Extreme G Racing III for example). So unless someone convinces me otherwise, I'd probably not get any GCN games that also came out for the PS2 or XBOX.

Oh, and to the OP, I definitely find an exclusive title to be like a trophy for that system, since they are the main reason to own these retro consoles to most people.
