Any HP Touchpad users try out the Cyanogenmod alpha?
Any HP Touchpad users try out the Cyanogenmod alpha?
It was released today and I've got it running on my 32gb Touchpad. I don't have a lot of experience with Android but so far I'm liking it a lot more than webOS.

I plan to dual boot, but not until it reaches beta probably. I've actually really come to like webOS, so I'll still primarily use that, but more apps are nice.

I don't mind webOS, it works pretty well, and I will say that the webOS email app is about 658.4 times better (at least) than the default Android email app. Christ, I mean you are the maker of Android and GMail - why does it not work/look like GMail? lol But so far I do like Android better. It's more familiar to me since it's sorta like iOS.
As far as I know it will only be a dual boot system, so I plan to do the same. Considering that this is an Alpha, it actually works pretty damn well. I haven't had any lockups or crashes - yet. But a buddy of mine did have to hard reboot his Touchpad sometime earlier, apparently. It just locked on him when it was idle.

I got a Touchpad for my Mom during the big fire sale. She doesn't know that much about technology, so I doubt she would understand the benefit of installing Android on it. Oh, well. WebOS works just fine for what she uses it for.
