I know it might be weird to ask about fumigation, but this is the first one I'm going through since I was 3 or 4. I've tried looking online, but I want a definite answer from you guys, so here goes.
What should I take out during fumigation, and what's ok to leave in?
I'm mainly worried about my games and model kits. I can go without games for 3-4 days, but I don't really wanna lug em around with me without the need.
And everyone knows about Gundam model kits. I have a good several of them, and I'd prefer to leave them out and displayed rather than put them in boxes.
Also, what about things like my clothes, bedsheets and pillow cases? Sorry if I sound naive about the world, but I couldn't find good enough answers online, and fumigation makes me worry about my belongings.

I would imagine your linens and clothes you would want to remove, as they tend to trap odors and other gasses. Similarly, you probably want to protect the upholstery. But hopefully someone else here has gone through one and knows better than I.

I actually find it interesting how not many people have gone through fumigation in their lives. My family didn't know what the tell me, and neither did my friends. I'll just hope the right person comes along.

leave everything but living things. bring the stuff you need, clothes for an extra day + total days out. then you should wash everything afterwards or take those items with you.Veno wrote:I actually find it interesting how not many people have gone through fumigation in their lives. (^_^)/
My house was fumigated a month ago!
We had to move all living creatures outside the house (humans, pets, plants, etc.), and double bag consumable items like toothpaste, medicine, food, cooking oils in special plastic bags, tightly wrapped up. The bags were provided by the fumigation company a week prior to the fumigation. We also had to call the gas company and have them shut off the gas.
I don't know anything about models but I do have a ton of electronics and video games. I didn't do anything and they were all perfectly OK. Same thing for furniture, such as beds. When I returned to the house after the fumigation, I couldn't smell anything or find any leftover reside anywhere. It was as if nothing had happened.
If I left something out, or you want me to answer any questions, feel free. I know how you feel about not being able to find information easily. I was the same way. I searched the web and couldn't find much info on this.
