Best Adaptor to Play Terranigma on NTSC SNES?
I hear some places only a Pro Action Replay 3 and certain versions of 2 will play it. I have a Honeybee converter. Will that work?

The best way is to with a Flashcart like the Super Powerpak or even the Super Everdrive. They will play PAL games without any problem as long as they use PAL60.
Re: Best Adaptor to Play Terranigma on NTSC SNES?
The PAL version of Terranigma not only has a PAL lockout chip (which will not let you boot the game on a stock NTSC-U SNES or SFC) but also checks to see if the console is running in 50 or 60Hz. So if you put the PAL ROM on a flash cart and try to run it on an NTSC console, the game will "boot" because it either has the correct lockout chip or uses the universal lockout chip, but will fail to load the game because the console is not running in 50Hz. You'll actually get a screen that says "This game pak was not designed for use on your Super Nintendo or Super Famicom" or something to that extent.
I am not aware of any adapters that will circumvent this check (though admittedly I don't use such adapters, so I would know very well, still I don't see how it's possible). If you want to use the authentic PAL cart, you would have to modify your system in such a way that you can select it to run in either 50 or 60 Hz. You would have to boot the game in 50Hz then switch it to 60Hz, so when the game checks it likes what it sees. So yeah, the easier way would be to run it on a flash cart, and use this patch for the PAL ROM:

That patch will make the ROM be able to boot on an NTSC console.

Ahh, gotcha. Thanks, guys. Damn shame Nintendo had to make this crud so hard for us.

I said in my first post that it will work ONLY if the PAL game supports PAL60, but yeah, Ziggy's post is more correct than mine. I applied that patch so long ago that I'd forgotten about the PAL 50hz limitation of the stock version.
So again, flashcart is your only option.

More like $60, but yeah, that's another option. Still probably cheaper than an actual PAL cart, from what I've heard.

Re: Best Adaptor to Play Terranigma on NTSC SNES?
Only saw one on eBay just now. At least the seller clearly states that it's a reproduction. That being said, I don't really have a problem with it. I know it's against eBay's rules, but what do I care about that? $60 will get you that game in cart only form, but yeah, a box and manual doesn't cost the other $90. So it IS grossly over priced. I feel bad when buyers are tricked into thinking it's a super rare official cart. It clearly states that it's a repro though. It's the buyers own fault if they don't research the price. If you Google "Terranigma reproduction" you'll see a ton of my images, other people's images, probably my thread, and I'm willing to bet this thread will be one of the first hits.

Yeah. It urks me when ebay takes down listings for repros and pirates when the seller clearly identifies it as such.
On the other hand, selling a SMB2J repro as RARE NES MARIO BETA UNRELEASED GAME! VERY RARE!!!! and sells it for $80 without mentioning its a repro pisses me off.
