This may sound like a stupid question, but what makes a complete Turbographx 16 game?
I was looking at Bonk's Adventure, and it had a case with a black back half, instructions, game card, and sticker as an end label. The back half was completely blank, no game description or pictures like all other games have. Is it supposed to have a slipcover or something?

Most TG16 games come with an outer box, and a foam insert that fills up the empty space in the box.
Later releases don't come with the jewel case. They came with the outer box and an inner plastic tray that holds the hu-card and manual.

All US HU-Card games came with an outer cardboard box, and most Hu-Cards came in a specific Jewel Case, though some later games din't have that, but rather a cheap plastic tray inside the cardboard box with the Hu-Card and instructions....those that didn't have jewls include Magical Chase, Air Zonk, Falcon, Solider Blade, Ghost manor, and some others, don't have a full list yet...
US CD games as far as I can find also came in jewl cases with outer cardboard boxes...could be some weird exceptions...WD Games such as Vasteel(don't know if this is CD or Super CD.)
US Super CD games I believe none came in outer card board boxes(I could be wrong, not for certain) Both WD games Vasteel and Exile : Wicked Phenomenon came with a cd case sleeve I guess you would call it, but was commonly discarded as it wasn't attachable to the CD case itself(hope that makes sense)

I have seen a few in jewel cases but most of mine were loose cards or a few were just in a clear wallet.

A fully complete game should be a HuCard/Turbochip in a little plastic wallet, inside a thin CD style case (which has a turbochip shaped indent with a clip thing to hold it in place). The case you described with the black back half is the right one. Then there'll be a thin manual in that case. All of that is inside a card box which is actually bigger than the CD style case, and contains some polystyrene to fill up the empty space.
I didnt know about the later releases not having jewel cases, that's interesting.
As for Turbo CD games, I'm totally clueless there.

Hit the ice just came with a plastic tray; and if I remember correctly, magical chase and air zonk didn't have cases either. LAME.
I also don't recall Buster brothers (regular CD game) having a cardboard box. Could be wrong though- my "new" copy may not have been new.
