Free Music Downloads?

So, I know how this is going to sound, but I do have physical copies.

I want to download some free music. I have about 40 records or so and always getting more, so I was hoping that I could go somewhere and download it. I know it's technically illegal and all, but this is way easier than transferring it the other way I can, which I have to seperately cut and name each song, get cover art, then stick it into Media Center, then onto my MP3. Too much work for what I have, sorry if I offend anybody.

Sooooo, any ideas.

i dont recomment, but i remember using bearshare for a bit.

What i recommend is to just extract from youtube, the trick to it is to find the ones with the higest quality

I'm assuming that their musical selection is probably less mainstream than what you're looking for, but http://freemusicarchive.org/ has tons of free (legal) music downloads.

Sadly, if you want MP3s of old records, your options are all going to be inconvenient.

Meh, don't like the sound of Grooveshark. Not enough bass, everything just sounds too sterile...

I do like Last.fm though. But unfortunately it's not for free here in Belgium, and I refuse to pay for something that is for free in other parts of the world. Either you make everyone pay, or noone at all...
