I found this Space Invaders on Ebay but I don't know what the problem could be. The description says and the picture shows that the monitor just shows lines. Any ideas what the problem could be and if its an easy fix?
thx
Space Invaders Arcade monitor problem
Re: Space Invaders Arcade monitor problem
Are you local? If so, $125 could make sense.
I'd keep this in mind. The item is being sold by a company that sells these. When stores specialize in items, and sell them in with problems, in generally means the cost of repair is not worth the cost of repair in terms to additional profit by fixing - ie, i'd prob stay away.
What it could be, a few different things, i'm fairly new to monitors, but it could need a cap replacement, it could be as simple as a loose wire. Again, its being sold by a gamestore that specializes in arcade stuff. So i'd lean more toward costly/difficult versus a loose wire.

Agree, the seller probably found the repair cost too high. I would consider buying it strictly as a gut out Mame cab with a new monitor. In this case maybe worth pursuing if you need a cocktail table. Try the Make Offer button at a lower price.
