Any comments on Radiant Silvergun and/or RE4 Remakes XB360?
I myself play my 360 some what here and there and was wondering ppls opinion on these two particular games on XBLA/Games on Demand.
Ill most likely DL Radiant Silvergun liked the demo teaser and RE4 did look pretty polished.
So my question would be since both are newly released hows the comparisons?which versions you liked better? And do you recommend the revist?

Considering Resident Evil 4 is one of my favorite video games of all time, I'm definitely going to be purchasing the HD Version. Since I only played RE4 on the Wii and not the PS2/GC, I'm really excited to see how it looks and feels. From what I've read the graphics really stand out.

Yes~ Forget RE4 if you've played it before unless you love it more than anything. I've played it on GC, PS2, and Wii. I'm done for a while.
Radiant Silvergun is another story. I own the game but I'm no where near it. $10 or $15 for the XBLA version is well worth it.

As much as I love RE4 I'm hearing that this "HD" version isn't that great. They say it's just the gamecube graphics upscaled to HD, so nothing has actually been remade in HD.
That being said the gamecube graphics are still a cut above the PS2's port, so if you want to play RE4 on a PS3 then it's still the way to go over the PS2 copy, and if you have Xbox then it's the only way to play RE4.

I'll probably get Radiant Silvergun just since it's affordable compared to the Saturn imports, and RE4 might be one of my all time favorites but I see absolutely no reason why I'd need to buy it again when I own the PS2/GC versions, plus that extra gritty grain for such a game is well fitting.

Nice some good outlooks so far.I didnt get a chance to see posted replys before I went out this morning and grabbed Raiden IV.
So it looks like theres nothing too special going on for RE4,good grab if your a super fan or never played.Im a pass on this,do love the GC version and its grit.
Radiant Silvergun seems like the no brainer ill DL this once I played a bit of Raiden IV.I heard a small comment on the controls. Is the SF pads nice on xbla games?

There's such a wonderful contrast here. Radiant Silvergun is a great example of the kind of thing we should see on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN because many people have never been able to play it due to high prices of the Saturn original or people just not knowing how to get a Saturn modded so they can download an iso of the game
RE 4 on the other hand, is just a another cash-in of a widely available game that has three versions on three different consoles. It's fine to get it if you've never played it or just love the game enough to buy it YET AGAIN. I'm sure some people will just love the fact that they can get achievements/trophies for it too. So I'm not judging anybody who wants to get it. However, I don't feel that this so called HD version of RE 4 really needs to exist. There are so many ways to play RE 4 already and it doesn't seem like Capcom have really added anything substantial to this port to make it worth getting again.
Capcom is so greedy it's ridiculous.

Still isn't as bad their Gamecube "ports" of RE2-RE3. One of my friends had no idea they weren't completely remade like the REmake of RE1, and dished out a lot of cash for those releases since they're a bit rare or something. I hear they're on par with the DC/PC versions with slightly better resolutions than the PSX versions, but yeah... that's just damn lazy. Screw RE4 HD and CV HD (I don't see the point in that one at all), give us some real Remakes of RE2-RE3. REmake was amazing stuff.Gamerforlife wrote:There's such a wonderful contrast here. I never played Radiant Silvergun on the Saturn but this XBLA version looks and plays like gold!
$15 is a steal for this game. If you like shmups and don't buy it asap you're crazy.
