Hi guys!
I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to buying and selling Neo-Geo MVS games, and I'm not much better when it comes to AES (but at least I own one of those). That's why I'm asking for your help.
I stumbled across a guy unloading his MVS collection for what I think is a great price. However, prices on these games seem to be all over the place. Here's what comes in the lot:
Loose carts:
3 Count Bout
Samurai Shodown
King of Fighters '97
Shock Troopers
Goal Goal Goal
Ninja Combat
Street Hoop
(Plus one more he describes only as "Japanese Tetris")
Complete Kits:
King of Fighters '03
Metal Slug X
Aero Fighters 2
Top Hunter
Magical Drop
King of Monsters 2
Metal Slug
---------------------------
He wants $225 for the lot, which seems like a screaming deal to me. What do you think?
Good deal on an MVS lot?

Re: Good deal on an MVS lot?
If the kits have matching serials and are authentic carts, that is a good deal then, yes. The loose are about $140-170 depending on labels / originals - with Shock Troopers being the most valuable, around $60.diesel_dan wrote:Hi guys!

The kits, if fully complete, prob $350+.
I'd say very low end value of $400, high end $600.
I'd be happy to go halvsies w/you

Re: Good deal on an MVS lot?
Thanks for the analysis!
Honestly, I'll have to sell a few of te carts to offset some of the initial investment, then I'd like to hold onto the rest for when I get around to buying an MVS to AES converter, or if I'm truely awesome, a Big Red of my own.
That said, if there's anything in that lot you're particularly interested in, I'll set it aside if I end up making the purchase.
He says that the complete carts are in excellent condition, but I haven't been able to see this for myself.
