Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

My house fell in on me and I died. But I'm ok otherwise.

In all seriousness though, I don't think the quake caused any real damage. Haven't heard of a single death yet.

I'm on Long Island,NY and we felt it pretty good. No damage as far as I know. I was in my chair at work and it started rolling back and forth, I just thought I was getting dizzy for some reason but it turned out to be a tremor! Scary shit! I'm ok though, hope everyone else is the same!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I figure there will probably be some damage to older structures and some bumps, bruises, and cleanup, but will mostly be more of a WTF than OMG. I saw one, um fanaticist on the CNN comments already proclaiming armageddon.

But still, someones collection shelf could have fallen on them. We don't want that sort of tragedy.

Meh, the upcoming hurricane will wash away all the rubble and dead bodies.

I'm in Alexandria, just about 80 mi from the quake. We evacuated my office building. We're back now. Cell networks are down, but there's no damage in DC. It scared the hell out of us. Those in Richmond and Harrisonburg might be worse. Harrisonburg is where James Madison University is, but schools not in yet.

I didn't even feel it in Rhode Island, even though apparently a second earthquake supposedly hit in upstate NY. I'm glad I didn't have all my game stuff up yet in NYC!

My computer monitor shook, but the stand isn't very sturdy. I'm pretty far away though.
