AJ's Game Collection

Post by alienjesus »

Considering how long I've been here, I thought it might be about tiem I showed off my collection! It's probably not going to make you breathless like some of the ones people here have posted, but I think it's a nice selection anyhow. I'm just gonna post pics of my games for now, as I don't have a dedicated game room and just swap my consoles in and out wherever I happen to be and whatever I feel like playing at the time. I might bore you with some reminscing about my experiences with the consoles too.

WARNING: Those who hate stickers on game cases may want to look away now...

I guess we start off with Sega, seeing how my first console was a Master System :D

SEGA

Master System:
Image

Games: Asterix and the Secret Mission, Aztec Adventure, Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse, Fantasy Zone, The Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck, Marble Madness, The New Zealand Story, Penguin Land, Phantasy Star, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap.

The Master System was my first console, but I didn't have many games. Only Alex Kidd, Sonic and Aztec Adventure. I was also about 3 at the time, so I didn't like it much. The spikes in Sonic the Hedgehog scared me. Anyhow, a few years after I got my Master System, my uncle borrowed it and broke it. It was only a frayed aerial lead or something, but my mum threw the console away anyhow. The games too :(. I didn't get a replacement til about 3 years back when I bought an SMS bundle with loads of cool games from ebay - pretty much all of the ones I have atm (plus a few I sold). I bought Penguin Land and Aztec Adventure myself (to replace my old copy), and finally beat my first 3 games recently :D . I managed to snag Wonder Boy 3 for 5p, that was a good day indeed.

BTW, I have a Master System II, it has Alex Kidd in Miracle World built in. The miracle World Manual is in the Castle of Illusion box atm. I remember when I was a kid and first discovered that there was a 'secret' game in my Master System. I was so excited

Mega Drive:
Image

Games: Animaniacs, Back to the Future III, Ecco the Dolphin, The Lion King, Mega Bomberman, Mega Games I (Columns, World Cup Italia '90, Super Hang-On), Mega Games II (Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Revenge of Shinobi), Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Story of Thor (Beyond Oasis for you Americans!), Streets of Rage 2. Unboxed: Sonic 2 (x2), Sonic 3D, Sonic & Knuckles, Disney Collection (Castle of Illusion & Quackshot), Streets of Rage 3.

The Mega Drive was the system I played for most of my childhood. I do remember being really excited about Ecco the Dolphin when I bought it as a kid (from the market, I could never afford brand new games) and then getting it home and not being able to beat level 2. It was a real downer as a kid when you bought a game with your saved pocket money for a month or two, and then you didn't really enjoy it. Streets of Rage was a game I played at my mums friends house, and as soon as I had, I knew I had to have it as my next game. I couldn't believe my luck when I found it with Golden Axe and Shinobi included! My favourite games as a kid, besides streets of rage 1 & 2, were Mega Bomberman, Sonic 2 and The Lion King. I was always confused why the Lion King had 'Genesis' written on the box, I guess now I know . The one game here I DID get brand new was Sonic & Knuckles, after I saw a TV advert for it and went crazy with excitement. My mum saw how much I wanted it and bought it for me, which must have cost here quite a bit back then. It was a good day.

I keep Streets of Rage 3 in a spare Mega Bomberman case I have. Back in the day I traded Flashback on SNES and Mega Bomberman on Mega Drive for Jurassic Park Rage Edition and Streets of Rage 3. We were meant to trade back, but it never happened. Years later I traded Jurassic Park and Mortal Kombat 2 for Metroid 2 on Game Boy and another copy of Bomberman, so I ended up with two Bomberman cases in the end. As for hardware, I have 2 Mega Drive IIs and a broken Mega Drive I. I want to fix the model 1 so I can test out the Master System adapter I found for it sometime.

Saturn:
Image

Games: Athlete Kings (AKA Decathlete), Terry Pratchetts DiscWorld, Guardian Heroes, NiGHTs into Dreams, Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon II Zwei, Rayman, Theme Park, Virtua Fighter, Virtual On: Cyber Trooper, Worms. Not in saturn cases: Panzer Dragoon Saga demo disc (NOT THE REAL THING), Sonic Jam, Christmas NiGHTs.

The Sega Saturn was the last home console I got, I got it for valentines day last year. I didn't have many games for it, so it got very little play, but I went on a saturn buying spree earlier this year, and it's quickly become one of my favourite consoles. The game cases on the other hand - urgh. Worst game cases ever. The cases dont seal shut properly, so fall open easily. Most dont have tabs to hold the manual, which sits loose inside the case. This then falls on the disc when the case is moved, loosing it from its very crappy spindle. Every time I open these cases the damn disc is rolling around loose. The cases are also covered in card, which has no protective plastic covering, so its easily damaged. Even worse, the plastic shell is actually held together at the spine by only this cardboard, so its quite delicate. The front shell of my panzer dragoon box has come loose from the cardboard, I need to figure out which type of glue I can use to restick it without damaging it. Horrible. Maybe I'll replace them all with DVD cases sometime.

Dreamcast
Image

Games: Aerowings, Chu Chu Rocket, Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, Jet Set Radio, Rayman 2, Sega Bass Fishing, Sonic Adventure, Space Channel 5

I may have said the Saturn cases were the worse ever, but the Dreamcast ones give them a run for their money. They're super delicate, and likely to shatter if dropped. Most of mine have big cracks and stuff everywhere. The hinges are also really fragile - only 2 of my cases still have hinges intact. The Dreamcast was the first console I boguht myself after I decided I wanted to take Retro gaming seriously, and acquire consoles I never owned before. Unfortunately, the awesome bundle I found turned out pretty awful, as most of the games didnt work. In fact, they still dont. Out of these 8, only Space Channel 5, Chu Chu Rocket and Jet Set Radio work reliably. Sonic and Rayman work sometimes, the others never have. I keep meaning to run them through the disc cleaning machine at Gamestation and try them again, but I never get round to it.

Game Gear:
Image

Games: Aerial Assault, Ax Battler: Legend of Golden Axe, The Chessmaster, Halley Wars, Sonic Chaos, Shinobi (aka The G.G. Shinobi).

My Game Gear is a very new acquisition of mine. Its not very portable for a portable - not only is it huge, but to save on batteries I use a fat Master System adapter with it, and because it barely has sound, I have to plug in speaker and turn it up to hear anything  . Still, I enjoy some of the games I've got, especially Shinobi. I may wait to repair my system or buy a working one before I get any new games though. I also own the Jungle Book, but I'm trying (in vain) to sell that because it sucks balls.

Nintendo

I may have started on Sega, but this is where the majority of my collection is gonna be. I got into Nintendo because of Pokemon (you'll notice I like Pokemon), and I bought a Game Boy Pocket with my Birthday money way back when. I got a Nintendo 64 a year before they replaced that damn thing (bad timing huh?) and then since then, I've bought every new Nintendo consoles soon after its launch.

NES
Image

Games: Captain Skyhawk, Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers, Double Dragon, Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The NES was another console I bought when i first started collecting old consoles to play. Mine came with 10 games, 3 of which I sold. I haven't actually got around to buying any more since that initial bundle . The 3 I sold were Robocop, Mission Impossible and Wrath of the Black Manta.

When my NES arrived, it was actually the first one I'd ever seen. No one I knew had a NES when I was a kid - I knew more people with Commodore 64s and Master Systems/Mega Drives than NES. It's kinda weird seeing how popular NES is on the internet now, and how forgotten the SMS and C64 seem to be. I guess theres just more Americans online

SNES:
Image

Games: Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 3, FIFA 96, Starwing, Street Fighter 2 Turbo (x2), Striker, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Super Punch Out, Super Tennis, Tiny Toons Adventures: Buster Busts Loose, Unirally (aka Uniracers), Super Game Boy.

I love how these games are sorted alphabetically and we've already reached S by game 4, and havent left it until 2 from the end!

Unlike the NES, I knew a fair few people with a SNES. The SNES was actually my first Nintendo console (still have my original), my mum bought it from a work colleague 2nd hand for me, which was awesome of her. Unfortunately, it got nowhere near as much play as my mega drive, because I didn't have as many good games. The only ones I liked were DKC3 (which i got a few years later) and to a lesser extent, Street Fighter 2 (the non turbo version back then). Because I played my Mega Drive more, thats what I normally bought games for when I went to the market, so it was kinda self perpetuating.

Out of all my consoles though, the SNES is the console I've acquired games for the most spread out. The Mega Drive I bought basically all my games when I was a kid, but the SNES games range from when I was a kid, all the way through to when I was at College, when I found starwing and super punch out on clearance at Gamestation. Most of the games were given to me for free, which is pretty awesome. I tried to get rid of the football games, but lolsportsgames, so I just keep them around for a laugh now.

N64:
Image

Games: Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mischeif Makers, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, Turok Rage Wars, Wetrix, Yoshi's Story.

My n64 games are another set that have been collected over the years, rather than all at once. It's quite small, but the games I have are pretty awesome, so it's still one of my favourite consoles.

The year I got my N64 was at the height of Pokemon Fever, and I said I really wanted one for Christmas. My mum couldnt find an N64 anywhere (pokemon stadium wasnt long out iirc). Eventually, we found a single console on a shelf on the 23rd of December and bought it on the spot. The awesome bit? It was a Pokemon Pikachu Edition console. It's so cheesy but cool, I love it. I'll have to add photos of it some time, when I CBA. Anyhow, I had to choose one game from the market to go with it (we couldnt afford a £60 brand new games after we'd forked out for the console!) so I got Yoshi's Island, because I remembered liking Mario World when I played it at my cousins. I enjoyed the game, but it quickly ot boring because it was so short and easy. Luckily I got my second game soon after - Pokemon Snap. Which I loved, but it was also really short and easy. Luckily, my third game was Ocarina of Time, which kept me busy for weeks, and quickly became my favourite game ever.

Gamecube
Image
Image
Image

Games (1): Animal Crossing, Beach Spikers, Beyond Good & Evil, Billy Hatcher, Chibi-Robo, Donkey Konga, Donkey Konga 2, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, F Zero GX, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Luigi's Mansion, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (includes Ocarina of Time/Master Quest Bonus Disc), Mario Kart Double Dash

Games (2): Mario Party 4, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Pokemon Colosseum, Resident Evil 4, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Sonic Adventure DX: Directors Cut, Sonic Heroes, Soul Calibur II, Starfox Adventures, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike

Games (3): Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros Melee, Tales of Symphonia, Tony Hawks Underground 2, Viewtiful Joe, Wave Race: Blue Storm

As you can tell from the amount of games compared to my earlier consoles, I had a part time job during the Gamecube's lifespan :D. The actual Gamecube was payed for by my mum though. For a woman who was not a big fan of video games, she was surprisingly generous for buying me consoles. The deal with the Gamecube was that if I did well on my exams, she'd give me the money for the console, but I;d have to buy games and controllers and whtnot myself. So in August, I got my Gamecube, only 3 months after launch (the closest i'd ever got to buying a console at launch back then) with 2 controllers and Smash Bros Melee. And I played that game a lot. Every day basically, until October when I bought my 2nd Gamecube game - Mario Sunshine. I still played Smash Bros more though, I was addicted.

My actual Gamecube broke about a year before the Wii came out. As usual, my mum through it out ¬_¬. My cousin generously let me borrow his for a while until the wii came out though, so I could still play it. I still don't have a gamecube to this day, I've been meaning to get one so I can get a Game Boy Player.

Wii:
Image
Image
Image

Games (1): A Boy and his Blob, Animal Crossing: Lets Go to the City, Another Code: R, De Blob, Geometry Wars Galaxies, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero 5, Kororinpa, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Let's Tap, Little King's Story, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Strikers Charged Football, Metal Slug Anthology

Games (2): Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Monster Hunter Tri, Muramasa, Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars, MySims, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Okami, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Red Steel, Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies, Sonic Unleashed, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Paper Mario

Games (3): Super Smash Bros Brawl, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Wii Play, Wii Sports, Zack & Wiki: The Quest for Barbaros' Treasure.

This here is why I disagree whenever anyone says the Wii sucks. I have loads of games here, the majority of which are awesome (I have got a few I'm not keen on though, like Red Steel and MySims), and theres still loads I've missed I need to catch up on. I can;t wait for the Wii U.

I got my Wii at Christmas, just under 2 weeks after it's UK launch. I was clever enough to pre-order, which was lucky, because I couldn't believe how quick it sold out! The first games I got with it were Zelda and Red Steel. I loved one, not so much the other. See if you can guess which way round!

The best bit about getting my Wii was showing Wii Sports to everyone. Never did I think I'd play a video game with my mum, step dad and granddad. Even less did I think my Granddad would win (Wii Bowling). It was pretty awesome. Screw what anyone says about casual gaming, that was one of my best gaming moments ever.

Nintendo Portables (and the Virtual Boy 8)

Game Boy & Game Boy Colour
Image

Games: Balloon Kid, Deja Vu I & II, Donkey Kong ('94), Donkey Kong Country, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, Konami GB Collection Vol. 2 (contains Parodius, Quarth/Block Game, Frogger and Track & Field), The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, Mega Man III, Metroid II, Nemesis, Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Crystal, Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Red, Pokemon Silver, Pokemon Trading Card Game, Pokemon Yellow, Probotector 2, Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, Wario Land 2, Pokemon Pinball, Game Boy Camera.

Told you I liked Pokemon  . I decided to just show these off together because I couldnt be bothered deciding whether to count backwards compatible GBC games as GBC or GB. I got my first Game Boy (a see through pocket) because I really wanted Pokemon, but I had to wait a while because it had sold out. So in the end, I got the 2 mario land games with my game boy whilst I waited. What a good decision that was! Unfortunately, my pocket was stolen along with 3 pokemon games, a link cable and both mario games. I've since repurchased the games, but i haven't got another pocket. I replaced my GBP with a GBC a few later when a school friend offered me it for £20, which was a pretty good deal back then.

Anyhow, I love the Game Boy line, it contains some of my favourite consoles. I know some hate handheld gaming, but it really works for me, I play handhelds more than home consoles.

Game Boy Advance
Image

Games: Advance Wars, Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, Columns Crown & Chu Chu Rocket double pack, Densetsu no Stafi, Fire Emblem (7), Fire Emblem (6) Fuuin no Tsurugi, Final Fantasy IV Advance, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town, Kuru Kuru Kururin, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past + 4 Swords, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, Pokemon Emerald, Pokemon Leafgreen, Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire, Riviera: The Promised Land, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

My original GBA got stood on by my fat step-brother and broken. My mum bought me a GBA SP to replace it. What was I saying about her being surprisingly generous with game consoles? Nowadays, I have 2 SPs and an original, acquired for 4 swords. I got my first GBA with my birthday money about 6 months after launch. I can;t for the life of me remember what game I got with it. Maybe Mario Kart?

I actually have a surprising amount of imports for the GBA. I picked up Stafi and Fire Emblem 6 when I was travelling around the world. They were really cheap. It's interesting playing games I don't understand at all! More Friends of Mineral Town I imported for my girlfriend, because she liked playing Back to Nature on her PS1. Riviera I imported for January's Together Retro.

Unfortunately, my mum thought that the cardboard boxes for these games were getting in the way, and threw them all away. She kept the manuals at least. I wish she hadn't though, would've been nice to still have them all.

Nintendo DS:
Image
Image
Image

Games (1): 100 Classic Book Collection, Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Advance Wars: Dark Conflict (aka Days of Ruin), Bangai O Spirits, Animal Crossing (whoops, thats in the wrong place!), Brain Training, Custom Robo Arena, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Electroplankton, Elite Beat Agents, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, Jam With The Band (AKA Daigasso Band Brothers DX), Kirby Power Paintbrush, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Games (2): The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Lunar Knights, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt, Metroid Prime Pinball, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, New Super Mario Bros, Nintendogs: Daschund & Friends, Picross DS, Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon HeartGold, Pokemon Link!(AKA pokemon trozei), Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon Ranger, Pokemon White, Professor Layton & The Curious Village, Professor Layton & Pandora's Box

Games (3): Professor Layton & The Lost Future, Project Rub (AKA Feel the Magic XX/XY), Rhythm Paradise, The Rub Rabbits, Scribblenauts, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, Soul Bubbles, Starfox Command, Super Mario 64 DS, Tetris DS, Wario Ware Touched!, The World Ends With You, Yoshi's Island DS. Unboxed: Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team.

Phew, thats a long list . The DS is probably my favourite console ever. I was really hyped for its launch, I bought it on day one (my first launch day console), and I never felt let down at all. I loved it. Even when its games were slim pickings I enjoyed the system. I feel the same about the 3DS atm. I hope it lives up to the reputation the DS has set up.

I have a couple of US games here: TWEWY, Apollo Justice and Prime Pinball. Me and my Girlfriend bought them when we were travelling in the US because we has some very long bus journeys ahead of us. 23 hours on the greyhound was made much more fun by some TWEWY. As you might be able to see, my original DS is a bit tatty. But after 6 months in a back pack visiting 7 countries, I think it's done me proud.

Nintendo 3DS:
Image

Games: Dead or Alive Dimensions, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Pilotwings Resort.

A nice quick one. Some people hate this thing, but I love it. Perhaps I'm just a fanboy, but I find the 3D really impressive, the games I've picked up to be great fun, and there's a whole load I'm looking forward to on the horizon.

Pokemon Mini
Image

Games: Pokemon Party Mini, Pokemon Puzzle Collection, Pokemon Zany Cards

I remember seeing this on shelves back in the day and thinking it looked fun, but wasn't worth £30. That might have been the wrong way to think though, as thing thing generally goes for double that nowadays, and the games easily match their £15 original price tag. I managed to get lucky on eBay and win this console and 3 games for £20 unboxed, which I was quite chuffed with. The card and puzzle game are in French though, so they took some guesswork to understand what to do initially!

Virtual Boy

Image

Games: Mario Clash, Mario's Tennis, Red Alarm, Teleroboxer, Virtual Boy Wario Land

Yeah, so it's not portable really, who cares? This one was a spur of the moment purchase for me - I saw an untested unit going cheap with games and went straight for it, and surprisingly won. I couldnt really justify the price, but whatever - the unit arrived from the US. After finding an adapter (the only thing it was missing), I tested it and it works great. The visors still intact, the stand isn't damage, the 3D effect works perfectly, and so do all the games. I sold Virtual League Baseball for being a sucky game of a sucky sport, but the other 5 games I kept. I really enjoy them. The virtual boy is by no means perfect, but I think it has more merit than most people give it.

Everything Else

Ok, enough of the long stories no one is gonna read. Most of these consoles are relatively new acquisitions with relatively few games. Not much interesting to say, so I'll just list the games for most!.

Playstation:

Image

Games: Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX.

As you can see, my PS1 library is vast and varied!

Playstation 2

Image

Games: Final Fantasy XII, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus

As is my PS2 Library! Unfortunately, I don't have the art cards for the Team ICO games. Oh well.

Turbografx 16

Image

Games: Blazing Lazers, Fantasy Zone, TV Sports Basketball

Another console I really need more games for. I'm trying to sell TV Basketball, because it really sucks. I doubt I'll manage it though - turbografx doesnt really sell on UK eBay at all. I need to import some games for it sometime.

3DO

Image

Games: FIFA, Need for Speed, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Road Rash, Wing Commander III

I know I promised no more stories, but I lied. Back in the day, i got given a 3DO for a birthday from a familt friend. He got it cheap on a market, presumably the thing was dead in the water by then. I'd never heard of it, and I didn't really like the games, and to be honest, I didn;t treat them very well, as you might be able to tell. The console is still in great chaoe though (it's a Pansonic FZ-1). Nowadays I wish I'd looked after them better - FIFA, Golf and Need for Speed no longer work. I'll give them a clean up with the dreamcast games sometime. Road Rash was the one game I liked. I loved hitting people with chains and running over old people. What a vandal I was.

I want to like Wing Commander but DAMN it's tricky. I can;t beat mission 2 >_<.

CDi

Image

Games: Caesers Palace, Hotel Mario, Pac Panic, Pinball

My CDi no longer works unfortunately. It ate my Hotel Mario Disc and both of them came out the worse for wear. They probably both deserved it. Anyhow, pinball sucked, caesers palace sucked, hotel mario really sucked, and pac panic was quite good, but the controls sucked. Don't bother with a CD-i guys. They suck.

Commodore 64

Image

Games: Final Fight, 4 in 1 (Exolon, Zynaps, Rana Rama, Uridium Plus), Impossible Mission II.

This one is brand new. The tape deck doesn;t work, so I haven't tested the games. Impossible Mission and Uridium are meant to be good though. Final Fight apparently sucks, but hey, at least the box is nice!

Neo Geo Pocket Colour

Image

Games: SNK vs Capcom: Cardfighters Clash, Cool Cool Jam, Faselei!, Dark Arms: Beast Buster 1999 (oops, mixed up the order again), Gals Fighters, Ganbare Neo Poke-Kun, Metal Slug 2nd Mission, Pocket Tennis Colour, Puzzle Link, Puzzle Bobble Mini, Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure, King of Fighters R2.

I feel bad putting this after stuff like the CDi, but I wanted to finish on a high note. I love this machine, its awesome. That clicky stick feels so good when you're playing a fighting game. My NGPC is STILL on its original batteries too. How is that even possible? I've played loads, and owned it for a year and a half!?

Anyway, thats all my games. Heres a shot of some of my cardboard boxes, which I have packed away safely Some of them I needn't have bothered tbh, they're pretty tatty to begin with. I figure it's worth a shot keeping them from getting even worse though.

Image

Boxes: Starwing (SNES), Super Punch Out (SNES), Mario Kart (Wii), Kuru Kuru Kururin (GBA), Pokemon Emerald (GBA), Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town (GBA), Densetsu no Stafy (Japanese GBA - unfortunately it didn;t survive the world trip too well :( ), Banjo Kazooie (n64), Cool Cool Jam (Japanese NGPC), Ganbare Neo Poke-Kun (Japanese NGPC), Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi (Japanese GBA), Pokemon Heartgold DS, Let's Tap tap boxes (Wii).

I have a few memory card boxes and stuff too, i figured no-one wants to see those.

That's all for now methinks. I might post again sometime showing my systems and gaming collectables and whatnot. Feel free to ask any questions or critique my collection! Thanks!

So many stickers ARGH! :x

Nice collection though. Just need tramp stamp removal. Look for some acid free PVA glue (for books) to re-glue the cardboard on the Panzer Dragoon. Apply very sparingly and spread it thin with your finger, then have a barely damp paper towel to wipe up anything that squeezes out when pressing it together. Put something on top while it dries to keep it pressed flat, just make sure no glue excess to stick it to the table or your weight object. Plain old white glue will work, but it will turn yellow eventually.

Cheers, I'll give this a go sometime soon.

I'll eventually get around to removing stickers from the plastic cases. the ones stuck to card I think I'll leave though, it's not worth risking damaging the box to me.

Looks like my kind of collection. Variety is key!

I have never seen that Pokemon Mini handheld, that is pretty sweet!

I'd love to get my hands on the PAL versions of those Final Fantasy games too (just because they look so damn cool)

The Pokemon Mini is kinda cool (and really small, I dont think I made that clear. Smaller even than the palm of my hand. The games are about DS cart size for comparison, perhaps a little smaller. There were only like 4 US games and 5 PAL games for it though (Japan got 10) and some of them command a really high price. It's nice, but not worth the going rate really.

As for the Final Fantasy games, I didn't realise the US had different covers?
