Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Help us bring games to children in hospitals

Post by racketboy »

From my friends at Siliconera:
This month we’re teaming up with Get Well Gamers to bring video game goodies to kids in hospitals. We are taking all our proceeds from running Auto Assault ads and using the cash to buy new gaming gear for Get Well Gamers. You can help us out, just check out Auto Assault from this link or the banner on the right hand side of the page. Each click helps raise money towards the fund. We’re running this until May 21st, so we are going to ask all of our readers to help spread the word about this. Last time around we were able to get a bunch of toys to give out on the holiday season. Let’s do even better this time around.

Read on for more details.

I am really intrigued by this.

I am just finishing up school for recreation therapy tech, and had planned on using video games as a diversion tool. Great to see these guys are facilitating this!

I see they are working with the shriners hospital here, im now adding the shriners hospital to my apply for a job list heh, thanks =)

Looks like the guys over at Penny Arcade organized something similar, only its only for new games/systems.

they raised over $600K last year
