Greetings to everyone, I had someone ask me to make a review of this game as I seemed knowledgeable of the subject.
Do you enjoy a good game of chess? I do, and if you do this game is chess on steroids. You are one of many characters in China are your goal is to completely unite all of china. The beauty of Romance of the Three Kingdoms X unlike the other games is that you don't have to start off as a ruler and have a city under your control and harbor units.
The beauty of Romance of the Three Kingdoms X is that it carries much deeper rpg element to the game where you can control a single unit, whether or not he is a ruler or just a simpleton of an officer as there are over 600 characters to choose from as well as the option of holding up to over 100 to create your own to have the enjoyment of creating your own dynasty.
When it comes to actual fighting, I think it's very fun and exciting. The game does carry a simple rock/paper/scissor element with its game play, it doesn't necessarily mean that rock will defeat paper every time because it still depends on the officer and the strategy that you employ.
Most of the game play you're going to perform tasks to do what you can to build your kingdom if you're either a ruler or an officer under a ruler. To me it's one of those games that you either get frustrated and quit, or you're going to get addicted and every day when you get out of school or college or work, you're going to immediately put this game into your Playstation 3 ( It's a PS2 game ) and immediately take off where you left off.
I believe this game is still better than Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI (11) the only reason why 11 was even deemed a successor I thought was because of the 3D elements and graphics which are very beautiful, gameplay wise I still feel that the complexity of RoTK X is still a superior game.
For me, I give it a 10 out of 10 because I fell into its addiction after I got frustrated trying to learn. But to me, once you learn a very complex game it becomes very rewarding for its unique style of game play, especially being so different from its predecessors.
The only thing i gripe about everyday is that the expansion never came to the states and I cry everyday. When I become rich, I'm gonna hire a lot of smart people to translate every single word to English lol.

I believe another moderator told me to post in those other forums because "that's not how it works". Sorry, I'm new.Niode wrote:We have a dedicated Game Reviews sub forum. Please post game reviews in there. Thanks.

If you got some "me" time on your hands, this is definitely a game to get to keep your mind busy and active. To me, it's one of the best single player strategy games anyone can ask for. I personally believe it still surpasses Civilization VAznKhmerBoi wrote:i've been trying to get a hold of X , but the prices are still up thre for a ps2 game.

I very much doubt that a moderator told you to post in the wrong forums. Here's a quick primer:AdamGomez1987 wrote:I believe another moderator told me to post in those other forums because "that's not how it works". Gaming related but not specific to Nintendo, Sega, Sony & Microsoft, PC, Old School Gaming News, Game Rooms & Home Theater, Games as Culture, Game Deals, Auctions, Buying/Selling/Trading, Guides, Gaming Videos, Gaming Downloads, Game Reviews, Archiving, Technical Help, Hacks and Mods, Emulation, Fighters, Shmup, RPG, Platformers, and 'Other Genres' *breathe* goes in General Gaming, whatever else there is goes in Whatever.
Take some time to familiarise yourself with the sub-forums (their sub headings go some way to describing what goes where) If you are STILL unsure, look in the sub-forum, are there other submissions like yours in there? Yes? - This is the place to put it. No? - Start from the top and try again.
