Darksiders 2 coming in 2012!

Dudes, I am so excited for this game. Can't wait to see where they go with the story. First one was an amalgamation/homage to several games and was quite fun. Here's a trailer.

I have yet to play the first Darksiders, how is the gameplay?

Gameplay is like God of War meets Zelda. There's not as much combo depth as GoW though, I really enjoyed it. For an alternate perspective wait for Gamerforlife to show up.

My one concern with this one is that they are saying that the first hub level will be as big as the entire first game. That sounds to me like a game I would tire of long before I beat it. Frankly, the first game was getting really long in the tooth with its last dungeon, which went on and on and on just kept repeating the same portal puzzles and boss fights over and over again. These guys don't know what the words overkill and repetition mean

It has dungeons like Zelda and sub items you'll recognize from Zelda games like the hook shot. The combat is like God of War with less moves and no mini-games for fatalities. It also borrows a boss fight from Shadow of the Colossus. It has portal puzzles like, well....Portal. It also has third person shooter sections. The game tries to do everything
