I bought a copy of DDRMAX2: Dance Dance Revolution at Goodwill yesterday. It was in the original big slipcover box that comes with both the game and the dance mat. Anyway, it's sealed shut with clear tape on both the top and bottom. Does this mean it's factory sealed, or did the Goodwill employees put the tape on? I could easily find out by opening up the box and checking if the game itself is sealed, but then if the game really was still new, I would have just lowered the value by opening it.
So my question boils down to: How were the big box DDR games sealed? With clear tape, or shrinkwrap?

I dont know much about DDR games in wrappers, But once at K-mart I found some Dancing with the stars game with USB mat bundle in a big box. The same goes for some at gamestop. A Buddy bought some Disney channel DDR games, that were once new but the store made them used because they were very old product
They were not shrinkwrapped, they just had a clear, round sticker on both ends of the box.
DDR max is one of the eariler games so I cant tell, but later games have just been like that, with just those clear stickers

The game in question doesn't have round stickers. It has the rectangular clear tape that comes on a roll.

That sounds more like the thrift store did it to me. I've seen a lot of games sealed shut with that stuff at thrift stores, usually poorly.

True, but I don't necessarily trust Walmart to keep games sealed, just as I don't trust Gamestop.
Still, someone else's input would be appreciated.

I'm willing to bet General Norris will know. He's our DDR expert right?

More than likely sealed by the store.
Re: Need help determing if PS2 game is really sealed
The only kind of stickers I remember getting on game boxes like that were round. But none of those were PS2 games so....I guess I have no idea.

Speaking of that, I think I might've saw my local K-mart has High School Musical 3 complete with TWO mats for $5... If only I were sure I could profit selling them.flojocabron wrote:I dont know much about DDR games in wrappers, But once at K-mart I found some Dancing with the stars game with USB mat bundle in a big box.
