Aw, no honorable mention for ActRaiser. It's cool to see Terranigma mentioned though--not that it defined the SNES in any meaningful fashion. Hardly anyone played it.

The main part of the article seems about right to me, though.

Great article, solid choices. The King of the 16-bit RPG era.

I may be adding it.
You're the second person between here and digg to mention it.

I'm not an SNES expert, so if I am wrong somewhere, please let me know.

Let me 3rd Actraiser. Excellent early SNES title that can still just about claim best SNES music ever.

Ill give Actraiser a word as well. But I will also say that Axelay, Ogre Battle, and Harvest Moon, are all sorely missing.

Axelay is a brilliant shump, some go as far as to say it rivals Radiant Silvergun as the best.
Ogre Battle was and still is simply an amazing narrative portrayed in such a brilliant an, atleast in the states, new way.
Harvest Moon is just Harvest Moon. Natsume has yet to steer me wrong.

Sorry to chime in here as this is slightly off-topic, but I've posted this before and not been satisfied. I have tried to play Harvest Moon and didn't get into it at ALL. This is rather strange as I like Sim City, have played a handheld Sims game (I think it was Bustin' Out?) and other similarly "menial" games (Monster Rancher Advance, for example).

What is it about Harvest Moon?
I might want to try at it again. Please enlighten me...

Ivo.

There are some real jerks posting on the SNES Defined blog post. WTF is it with people who can't be even remotely polite over a difference in opinion?

Their probably Digg users.
A lot of people don't know the difference between my "Games That Defined" concept and the "Best Games"

I made sure to address his concerns and then throw in a little sarcasm.
