It's far from a confirmation of anything being developed (or planned for that matter) but it's nice to hear something might still be in the cards for NiGHTS. Personally, I liked the Wii game - if they would have just not made NiGHTS talk and left the story as simple as it was in the Saturn original.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: NiGHTS 3 tease
I have the PS2 Import version of the original Nights, it has both the Saturn and upgraded PS2 graphic modes. Frustrating once you lose flight, running around avoiding that clock. I heard the Wii version played different, debating to get or not.

After the Wii game, I'd prefer that the series stay dead.

That reminds me that I still haven't finished the first NiGHTS.

Awesome. Even a tease is good news for me. I also appreciate the possibility of the Saturn original getting another release.
I thought the Wii game was great. They could have done a better job with the voices (I don't mind NiGHTS speaking, I just don't think the voice they used was the best choice. Not bad, but not quite good either) but it was great fun to play.
Edit:
Slightly related, did anybody follow the link and watch the trailer for Rodea the Sky Soldier? That looks pretty damn cool.

I hadn't even heard of this game till you mentioned it. Now it's a guaranteed day one purchase if it ever makes it to the US. The visual style alone is enough to make me want it - so colorful and fluid.CFFJR wrote: Slightly related, did anybody follow the link and watch the trailer for Rodea the Sky Soldier? Re: NiGHTS 3 tease
A proper sequel would be nice. Didn't the Wii game sell poorly though? To me the Wii game missed the entire point of the gameplay from the original. The infinite score attack gameplay mixed with the amazing imagery and sound made Nights so great to replay. The PS2 version so nice with the graphics engine improvements. Better draw distance actually improve gameplay IMO.

Yeah I enjoyed the wii the game, but it had nothing on the original. Still glad to hear that another one might be in the works sometime soon
Re: NiGHTS 3 tease
I bought the Wii version when I found it in a bargain bin for 5 bucks a few months ago. Still haven't played it yet.
