Memorable Deals!!!
I am going to just share a little story with you fellas. I have been in pursuit of the Agetec joystick for the Dreamcast. I bought one a little over a week ago. I got it and it was cool. The joystick was a little loose however. I fixed it as best as i could but it does the job nonetheless. I wanted more for the collecting and the truest quality I could get. So i bought two more and one arrived yesterday afternoon and i was like hell yeah this joystick is in very excellent working condition. But the cosmetics i will have to touch up a bit.I really can not wait until the other one comes.
So for some random reason i go to this used video game store that never really has anything good for retro gaming except for a few gems here and there. I just had this urge to go. The first time i go at 11 am its closed. I then return at 3 pm and it says be back at 330 pm. I go eat chinese food with my significant other. I come back at 4 its open and we are in. So my woman and i go and we are looking around. Nothing too surprising until we start getting near the front door. They have this little section for Genesis NES SNES Dreamcast and Saturn. I see this dreamcast console box and im like hey maybe i should get it. For spares and maybe a side project or something. And right above it i see an Agetec Arcade Stick for the Dreamcast box.
The thing that really grabs my eyes is a sticker that says 19.99, and im like no fucking way. I ask to see it and he pulls it out of the box for me. I touch it and i feel the true quality of this joystick. The controls are extremely tight and the cosmetic condition is wonderful. The box itself is in perfect condition and even has the cardboard peice that goes around the joystick for protection. And i loved how it was wrapped in its original plastic. So i got it for 21 and something cents. That was one of the best deals i ever scored in my collecting so far. I just want to know about your guys' memorbale deals, lucky finds. The first one that comes to mind is project justice for $3.33. And the concept 4 wheel for 20 dollars as well. I hope this streak of luckiness continues because i am fucking loving it.

Please, please break these huge posts down into paragraphs. Whenever I see a chunk of text this long without any breaks in it I just can't read it. I would really like to read your posts to see what you have to say, but when you drop this huge block of undifferentiated words on me my eyes just cross a couple sentences in.
Favor to me? Please?

i scored monster world IV for genesis recently for under 2000 yen (around 17-18 bucks) complete in akihabara. the copies on yahoo auctions were going for over 3000 + shipping + bank/postal transfer fee, so i went game hunting for a bit while on a trip to tokyo. three shops had it for 3600, 4000, and 5000 yen. i nearly settled on the 3600 one when i found the amazing 1938 yen copy, good as new! i grabbed it really quick and damn near ran to the counter to pay, where the cashiers looked at it carefully to make sure it wasn't an error. i can't wait to play it!

I'd say my best find as a collector occured late in May this year. I stopped by the game store in my neighbourhood (a few blocks from home), and rummaged through the guy's box of Dreamcast games which were 3 for $10. I could see why, most of the games left were old sports titles and lightgun games; I looked through all the games in that box and at the bottom I found it...a complete copy of Headhunter for DC (only released in Europe). I checked out the discs and both were in great shape like it had hardly been played at all, and the manual looked like it was new. Along with this I picked up Starlancer and Wild Metal (for some reason I overlooked Outrigger for this piece of crap), and after tax all three games cost me just under $11 CAD. So I got Headhunter for roughly $3.50!

There is a movie/games rental chain in Canada like blockbuster called rogers video. They always run great promotions on their used games. 2 for 40 or 2 for 30 dollars.
It's not old sports games collecting dust either. Picked up Twilight Princess for the Wii months ago with Baten Kaitos Origins for 40 in total. Before that Shadow of the Colossus and Drill Dozer.
The 2 for 30 deal I picked up God of War 2 and Metal Slug Anthology. Everytime with cases and manuals.
Canada Day weekend they had a promo buy one get one free. Of course all locations had no selection.
