Tetris The Grand Master 3: Terror Instinct leaked for PC
Like Tetris? A lot? Want to play without that skill-less infinite rotation and want to play even faster without being limited by the size of the field? Well then TGM 3 is for you. It shouldn't be hard to find and it's the definitive version of Tetris.

No love for Tetris? How come? I really mean that it's the best version out there.

Does it involve lasers, explosions and Micheal Bay?

how's the PSN version of Tetris? I mean, I really just want straight up classic Tetris. nothing special.

I find it to be a lot of fun.
I got the PSP version first, since there was no PS3 version at that time, and it's one of the only minis that doesn't work on both PSP and PS3. I was enthralled with all the different modes -- some of them are just wild, and add a whole new dimension to the game. The downside is that all the extra modes are limited to 40 lines, which is a real shame. The PS3 version is basically the same, with the addition of multiplayer.
If you like the new style tetris (aka infinite spin, being able to hold a block, the more gradual speed increase) you'll have no problem with what's on PSN. The Grand Master style games are really old-school for the hardcore, it's not as much of a casual experience.

yeah I just basically want to play NES/GB Tetris. I'm never thrilled with any additions.

If you have played Sega Tetris, TGM is inspired from that. It's main importance is that it polishes several aspects of Tetris.
1) It uses a randomizer that gives a more even distribution of pieces. There are no "I have too many of this one" syndrome.
2) It allows you to input commands for the next piee when you place one (Allowing high speed play)
3) Pieces don't lock as long as you keep moving them from side to side (This allows high speed play without ruining the challenge like Infinite Spin does)
4) The focus isn't on survival but on speed. This may look dumb but there's a reason for it: Focusing on speed requires more skill and strategical planning in your construction than clearing lines, already something very deep, making the game more interesting. It also makes early levels as interesting as the later ones.
5) The rotation system is simmetrical, if you can do something on the right side of the screen you can do the same on the left side.
Some notes:
TGM 3 allows you to hold a piece, TGM 2 doesn't.
There's an easy mode, a mode where the goal is to remove certain goals, an item-based versus mode and a speed-based one so it's not just a hardcore game.

Re: Tetris The Grand Master 3: Terror Instinct leaked for PC
great news. cant find anything other then this link.
Could you pm me with details?
thanks
EDIT, I´ve gotten a PM:
Run the config to set the buttons (Or Joystick if you have one). Then click on TGM3.exe =P
(It really is that easy!)
Wow, it works like a charm. An arcade game running on my pc!
It seems to run flawlessly on my 3-5 year old pc.
I so need my Sega Naomi cab back now (which I sold!), I would´ve just hooked it up via VGA!
Thank you very much for this thread which is EPIC. and this game and instructions.
Everyone even remotely interested in puzzle games and/or Tetris, give this a shot.
I want Battle Gear 4. Will that be leaked too?

If that will be leaked I will sell my kidney and get a high spec pc to run that!

An important note. When selecting control scheme, select Classic and not World. Classic is the one with the new wallkicks and spin rules, World uses the rules from Tetris World and isn't as good.
Note that the rotation being inversed is not a problem because you can just move your hand to the right/left so the same fingers tap other buttons.
