Hey guys, just joined the forum after getting a modded Saturn and I'm having some trouble. I'm using a Mac and have a copy of Toast 11. I've downloaded a few game roms but every time I burn them to a CDR my Saturn can't read them. The seller included a burned game so I know I'm screwing up.
I looked for some guides for Macs but there are none out there. The one of this site doesn't work either? Help!
Anyone with a walk through for Mac Toast 11 and burning Saturn games would be a LIFE SAVER. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a Mac, but I hope I can be of help here. I've been told that this program is a good substitute for IMGBurn, which is the standard tool for burning console games in Windows. I can't think of a good reason it wouldn't work.
However, if that doesn't burn Saturn games correctly for some bizarre reason, you might be able to use Darwine to run IMGBurn itself. I've been using IMGBurn in Ubuntu using Wine, which is a similar enough situation that I think it should probably work for you as well.

So I would just use that program and not Toast? Do you have a list of steps on what to do? I'm feeling lost...

Fraid I don't have a Mac to directly try it, but as long as you have your burning program load the .cue sheet for the disc, it should work fine. I would get Daemon Tools or Power Iso, or some Mac equivalent to test your images. The majority of Saturn games are mixed data CDs, meaning the first track is Data and every subsequent track is audio. If you load the disc image with a virtual drive, and the first track is just skipped when you try to play the CD, then it should be right. Another word of advice, if you get an image with MP3 files, you need to convert them in to the Mac equivalent of WAV. Make sure they're 16 Bit and 44.1 KHz Stereo, any higher and it's not CD audio, and won't be a valid Mixed Data CD, any lower and it'll sound like crap. Hope this helps, I'm kinda throwing what I know from Windows and seeing what sticks.
