Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't see it on Gamestop's website.

I would think SEGA would do something stupid like make it for the PS3 "cuz of teh aweseome moshun capabilities" :P

If this is real, I just hope it allows for two wiimotes and doesn't only have a mode for wiimote and nunchuck.

I have been begging for this since the Wii came out, and another Samba game since it was originally released.

I sincerely hope this is true

Yeah, but I don't think its really practical with the wiimotes, even if you got maraca add-ons for the shaking bean effect.

Reason being -- the only the way the wiimotes know if you're wiimote is lower or higher is if it has visibility to the sensor bar. I can't even pretend that using the wiimotes as maracas while ensuring they are constantly in view of the sensor bar would be fun.

Original DC maracas, as you may recall, had a placement pad with sensors on the left and right beneath the maracas to measure height. Meanwhile the maracas registered motion.

Eh, considering that the Wii remotes seem to be capable of being tracked in 3-D space, I can imagine that the game wouldn't have any problem being able to determine whether or not they're being raised or lowered, and obviously shaking them will produce results.

Now as for whether or not this game is anything more than a rumor yet, I'm not too sure it is. I haven't read any confirmation, and the fact that a store took someone's money means nothing much these days. I hope it hits, because I'd finally get to sit and play the game again after several years, but for now I can't seem to find any confirmation one way or the other.
