Is time repeating itself?

Post by loser13 »

I guess what I mean is Nintendos latest games. To me it feels like Mario 64 is the equivalent of the original Super Mario Bros, Sunshine would be Mario 2 type game(usa version) with its water jetpack and weird new world, and Mario 3 is equal to mario galaxy, in terms of bringing the correct type of additions to complete the 3d mario series. Sure i know Mario galaxy is pretty out there(a plumber in space?) but the larger more vast areas look like classic mario 64 style, and the bee suit cant help but remind me of the tanooki suit. Of course mario galaxy will never get the publicity of mario 3(man the wizard was such a cool movie when i was a kid.....).Anyway heres to hoping mario galaxy will be all i hope it is and take mario 3 off the top for me, where it has been for many years.

Hmmm.... Interesting thought.
I haven't played Sunshine, but I could see the connections in all off those comparisons I guess :)

I see no pattern here. All Mario games are fucking strange in their own way.

Ahhh..........and here comes mozgus to ruin my hopes and dreams hehehe. I also have the same thoughts about the Zelda series with ocarina being the first zelda with the new innovation in a full 3d world, windwaker with the cell shading and sailing through water being like the love it or hate it overworld map of 2, and twilight being like a link to the past fro bringing back to the ocarina format but a much bigger world, better graphics and the light/dark world and the light/twilight world and pretty similar(even though being a wolf is way cooler than being a.........pig...type......thing...). I hope a new wii zelda built from the ground up will be as innovative as ocarina and be the next big thing.

I don't really care. But Galaxy looks amazing, which I do care about.

Hmm... you got an interesting point there loser13. Its like when sega was going downhill. Same thing happening to sony with their current consoles. They even made the same statement the PS3 is for more advanced player meanwhile the Wii is for more childish player. Sega made that statement with the saturn over the PS1.

And don't worry about Mozgus thats just the way he is. You gotta love him or hate him. Either way hes a good guy and always gives you a hand.
