Question about PSP memory cards
I just got a 2gb memory stick to replace my horribly small 32mb one. But I noticed that while my new stick is Sony brand, it doesn't say PSP or have the PS logo on it, and it says Mark 2 for some reason. Does any of this mean anything, like a cheaper, less reliable model or something?

Re: Question about PSP memory cards
Memory Sticks are just standard memory sticks. They're used in other things too, not just PSP's. Cameras etc...BoringSupreez wrote:I just got a 2gb memory stick to replace my horribly small 32mb one. That's true, even with Scan Disk brands and others, the term that matters is Magic Gate, which Sony claims what the PSP can read.

Actually, MagicGate is the copy protection technology that Sony uses with Memory Sticks. For obvious reasons, the PSP needs a MagicGate equipped stick. Unless of course you're pirating, in which case you can take a risk with fake sticks.skyknight wrote:That's true, even with Scan Disk brands and others, the term that matters is Magic Gate, which Sony claims what the PSP can read.

Re: Question about PSP memory cards
Don't worry is just a standard memory stick. It does anything you expect to do, music, videos and run games from the PSN Store and/or ISO back ups.
