Erik's setup + collection (Major update: 1/15/12)

Post by ZenErik »

Now that I've got an iPhone 4S with a much better camera than my old phone, I feel I can offer much better pictures. And my setup has changed quite a bit since my original pictures. This does not show my entire game collection and is not intended to. Just whatever I felt like taking pictures of this morning and yesterday evening

Nice! You seem to have a lot of non-original design systems, NES toploader, PS2 slim, PSone, snes mini, and an x'eye. Are you going for little a theme in your collection there? Or did it just happen?
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Very Impressive! Nice to see consoles being used, all the controllers and cables plugged in! :D

What is the Red Memory card plugged in the PSOne, maybe a Konamix DDR?

I hope that's tempered glass on those shelves. Otherwise, nice collection! That's a beautiful duo.

I have a preference for non-standard consoles. Mini, white/light grey, and/or rare are all preferred.

Still looking for a translucent blue Hello Kitty Dreamcast. Thinking of getting a Super Famicom Jr as well, but it is hard to justify the huge difference in price compared to the SNES Jr. And I would love a CDX. Had gotten one on eBay, but it had sound issues. My main gripe with every Genesis variation is that all the systems were black. The CDX sticks out like a sore thumb with my other consoles. :D

Yes yes. I have friends over all the time, and we make use of every console. However, the most popular consoles when I have friends over are the Saturn and Dreamcast. That is probably partly because those have been my main focuses when building my game collection. The PC Engine is likely to round out the top 3, but I just got that in yesterday. Got to thank D-Lite for that. Great work from him.

The red memory card is an official PS1 memory card. I have had it for many years. The sticker you see on it is from Thousand Arms.

Thank you. I love it too. :) To be honest, I have no idea what that glass is. I bought the TV stand second hand and know very little about it.

Good choice, that's a terrific manga.

I'm also going to need to find out about this whole "multiple AV cords at once" things, I'm still switching all of mine out by hand, like they did back in the stone age :P. Not so bad with only three well played consoles, but I'm getting a fourth and fifth soon enough...
