I want a stick that has parts more traditionally associated with American arcade machines: a bat-top stick instead of a ball-top, concave buttons instead of convex, and parts made by Happ instead of Sanwa.
I'm willing to do it myself but where can I get housing?

I would check craigslist for a project you can gut apart or check online sites that sell traditional arcade parts.
