panzer dragoon orta is hard!

I picked this up a few weeks ago and just got around to playing it. I can't get past the second boss on the second stage! I tried 5 times last night before giving up only to discover that I have to do the entire level over again. Is there some way to get health that im missing? You get a tiny back when using the special attack in glide form but that's it. I am liking the game but its pretty frustrating.

That's about it. Just keep practicing and trying different strategies. Orta is very old school in the way it kicks your butt. The payoff when you beat a boss you were stuck on is well worth it though IMO.

Bosses have patterns. Learn them. Also, get familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of each dragon form and get used to switching between them quickly. Using the right form at the right time is critical. So is Knowing when to boost or slow down

Lastly, memorization gets you far in this game

I seem to do best in the glide form, but its the weakest in terms of firepower, in the other forms i do fine until a cluster of those green orb things come at me and i can never get them all. It is a much more intense game than I ever thought it would be.

I beat most of the game in glide mode.. and try it on easy.. then medium : )
