I'm wondering what is there to do with old PS1 systems? I see them showing up in stores for very little money but I've tried selling them and haven't had a whole lot of luck.
I think the only ones worth selling for any money are the SCPH - 1001. But all other units seem to be pretty useless. Second most useful are the PSONE systems only because they can be used as parts for the 1001.
The drive units are identical and a perfect replacement.
So is there a market for these units? or should I trade em all in to the local game store for $4 each for parts?

Looks pretty cool, Jinn. If I had an extra one, I think I'd try that too, although my gf likes purple, not green.

Someone please change the title of this thread to Jinn shows off. 'Cause I want to see more of this shit. Those are some amazing looking boxes.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

hmm, leds wasn't quite the solution I was looking for.
i'm not sure my area is very interested in modded old systems. I think I listed some nice PS1 boot discs on craigslist and got no interest.
Plus I have maybe 6-7 of these systems...
Maybe i'll just keep the ones with parallel ports.

Install a modchip, overclock them and add some LEDs. I have sold several PS1 system this way.
The switch you see on the PS1 is to control the OC mod [Stock<->OC]
