i used to play super bomberman 4 a lot at my friend's house, but saturn bomberman is definitely my favorite. aside from the multiplayer option of 10 players (!) i always had fun with the temple mode

Are there any active online Bomberman (or similar) games out at the moment?

i did like the saturn one, never did get to try out the 10 player mode with more than 4 people tho :/

tbh i think they where all good, it just depends which you got to play multiplayer with a friend... bobmerman against cpu is never as satisfying :)

Saturn Bomberman FTW.

I also loved Pocket Bomberman for the GBC. It's not very faithful to the actual Bomberman games, being a platformer, but oh man it's fun.

It's all about Saturn Bomberman -- and I bought most systems just to play that game.

After the Saturn, Bomberman Generations is fairly good -- but I'd probably go with Super Bomberman 2, instead.

So many fans of Bomberman Online! Here is a question -- is there a way to turn off the lag between getting a power-up and it becoming active? The whole "Judge... Got it" thing seems silly when playing locally. Its the one thing about it I hate -- and its enough to spoil it for me.

Bomberman Online had the crappiest 4 player battle mode ever. Only a handful of confusing modes and little options. Bomberman 64 or one of the Cube ones are the best for battle mode. Saturn version is just much harder to get all the components for. I would buy a cheap n64 and 4 controllers or adaptors just to play Bomberman 64 battle mode again. I would also nominate Bomberman 64 for best single player because it is incredibly deep albeit flawed and frustrating gameplay. Bomb stairs rock!
