Anyone use one of these PS3 media hub thingies?

I've seen these around, basically just a hub that plugs into the USB ports on yr PS3 and offers up extra USB ports along with a card reader and addition of remote control. Sure it's KIND OF unnecessary in a sense, but also kind of convenient.

AT any rate, curious if anyone has used one, and how well it works, and also I notice this thing has "Slim" in its name, but I assume it'll work on a fat model as well?

Sounds like a normal pc/mac product that they threw the ps3 label on. I mean it´s just plain usb. Doesn´t the fats 4 usb ports and various card readers cut it? And remote control? wouldn´t you be more comfortable with an official sony bluetooth remote?

New PS3s only have 2 ports. The problem with the bluetooth remote is it never turns itself off. It doesn't sleep so it chews through batteries whilst the PS3 is on (and you used the remote to turn it on).

I have the official bluetooth PS3 remote and I love it. I've never had any battery issues, and it makes it much more convenient to deal with movies on the PS3, instead of awkwardly using the controller. I highly recommend it.
