Dream Connection II problems

Hi guys, I have one of those Innovation PS2/saturn/keyboard adapters with a vmu port. I'm guessing from the pics I've seen that its a Dream connection II 4 in one. I was wondering if anyone has a scan of the instruction manual for it, because I'm wondering if there is any way to remap the buttons on it. When I use a dual shock in it, the r2 and l2 buttons get mapped to the right trigger and the l1 and r1 get mapped to the left trigger. It gets a little annoying having to use the top left an bottom right to play games and I wanted to fix it. Can anyone help?

So they are all right trigger??

I have two of those, I don't remember the mapping at the moment, I'll have to check it out later, however, I used another before with a different mapping, L1 and R2 were mapped to L and R1 and L2 were mapped to R, same model and all. I really liked this mapping for fighters, but when I got mine (like 4 years later) it wasn't like that. I also bought min new and they came with no manual, what I did was hardwire some dedicated ps1 controllers

Sorry, I meant to say l1 and r1 get mapped to the left trigger. I'll edit my first post aswell. I was kind of hoping that the mapping wasnt permanent and that there was a way to remap. I suppose I could rewire one of my dualshock2s, but I'd rather not do that.

Yeah, that's how mine are too, maybe that's how later models came, hardwiring did it for me, I have never opened it, but I doubt it would be simple

Well the hard wiring is a no go now... I had 3 dualshock2s and now I'm down to 1. Funnily enough the 2 that died on me are the ones I never used... 1 was the one that came with my ps2 years ago and has been in storage for ages, and the other came with a used psx. Oh and I just took a look inside the adapter. Theres only one IC and thats a PIC16c57c. So I'm pretty sure remaping is out of the question, and even if it was, then the settings would be lost at power down.
