WTF!? Keanu Reeves as Kaneda in Akira!?

I knew the second this movie was announced that it would blow. Each successive announcement just validates that assumption.

And yeah, I actually don't hate Keanu Reeves...but ANY non-Japanese actor and ANY non-Japanese studio is a terrible choice for a live-action Akira film. I'm baffled stuff like this is even capable of happening...

(also, isn't Kaneda supposed to be a teenager?)

Keanu isn't my favorite actor either, but I actually think he's far above this.

Akira's weakest point was always it's story. It was all about the cool art and animation.

This movie is unneeded and cannot avoid sucking.

im not a fan of anime,but when i saw this movie years ago i actually enjoyed it. The music and art style is fantastic.

Now talking about the hollywood version i dont know, a little skeptical ... how could they go wrong with keanu reeve lol.
