What Got You Interested and Obsessed?

Post by o.pwuaioc »

Taken from a quote from someone on a different forum...

What game/games a) got you into gaming, and b) (if any) got you obsessed (or extremely passionate about) gaming?

Mine will have to be a) Legend of Zelda (NES) and b) Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis). What are yours?

Edit: Added formats.

MS-DOS in general was the beginning for me.

I'd say Mega Man on NES was what led to obsession.

The Arcade Cinematronics SPACE WARS vector cabinet. Really, I witnessed Pong when it came out in the local bowling alley, thought it was interesting but boring. Then I discovered Space Wars when it was first was put in the local Circle K quiki mart. HUGE cabinet took up a whole front side of that little store.

a) Super Mario Bros
b) The Legend of Zelda

I know, pretty mainstream choices. But it's totally the truth. After Zelda, I was hooked.
I wanted to post Final Fantasy too, but that came later.

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
