PS2 multitaps

Hello
I am looking to buy a multitap for my PS2 Phat,(Model number SCPH-30004 PAL)

is there any difference in the multitaps availible for the PS2 in terms of space between the memory card slot and the controller port?
i found this official Multitap but it says its only for the SCPH70000 series

I have a knockoff one that the plug portion slides to accommodate the fat and slim systems.
