All the single gamers, all the single gamers.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

All the single gamers, all the single gamers.

Post by Niode »

In response to the 'Wives' thread. Post in here if you are single and love not having to answer to anybody with your hobby. You can do whatever the hell you want whenever you want. Stay up until 6am playing Tales of Vesperia? Sure no problem, you're single! Not having to explain who every single person that comes online on Live is, especially if they have a gender-ambiguous name. That's because you're single!

What's the best thing about being single and a retro/gaming enthusiast?

As a happily married man, I can do both of these things.

All you single people are a bunch of massive idiots who like to generalize that us married people are all the same. No wonder you're single.

Me too, heh heh.

My wife figured out a long time ago that I go to bed when I'm ready and not a moment before.

*raises hand*

Personal freedom is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Not to say that you can't have it in a relationship, but no relationship comes without its restrictions (or without having to compromise and justify and set up boundaries and rules at least a little to reach a lack of restrictions). Having the option to follow any whim you have without having to justify it to anyone rules. Call it childish, but I'm having a great time

Specifically about being a gaming enthusiast? I can have 1/3 of one wall of my room coated in games, and another half of another wall in systems and shelves to hold said systems, and nobody says a thing~
Obviously there are people who find girls that don't rag on that kind of thing, but those guys are incredibly lucky. I'd rather not rely on luck to ensure I get to collect and play games at my own leisure :P

Asshole, making broad generalizations of us single dudes. This is why we don't want to be like you; we turn into uptight pricks.

Can we get a thread started about swingers, too?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm currently enjoying living a nag-free life, gaming and otherwise. The last girlfriend I had did a damn fine job in ensuring that this will continue for some time to come.

I don't think he was making a mass generalization, but I think you would agree that most girlfriends/wives would frown upon you for playing Tales of Vesperia until 6 in the morning.
