Hi people, I was just wondering who's going to university/college? I'm starting in october to do Ancient History and Classical Archaeology, or History with Dutch. A year late I might add.
So yeah, who is going or is already there?

Re: University/College
Actually I've graduated with a master's in Library and Information Studies, but I'm considering returning for a Master's in International Relations and then pursuing a doctorate.
A few of the guys here are about to finish college, have finished, or have advanced degrees. JT is a doctoral student in psychology. Dsheinem's a professor in communications, and the now-long gone Dr. Fugue was a professor in music. I don't know if anyone else is working towards or has obtained a doctorate, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm in my first year at the University of Pittsburgh. Right now I'm majoring in English Lit. and I'll probably get a degree in teaching. I've been thinking about maybe teaching English in Japan after college actually for a couple years. Not too sure about that yet though, too early to tell.

Sweet i use to live in pittsburgh, its pretty cool area especially south side with all the bars lol. Also there is a nice little game store in south side where they sell pretty much everything from new to classic games. The store i think its called exchange.Sideroller wrote:I'm in my first year at the University of Pittsburgh. Right now I'm majoring in English Lit. and I'll probably get a degree in teaching. Yeah! I've been there a couple times - they usually have a nice selection and good prices. There are a quite a few of them in Pittsburgh. One is right on campus and then another is a couple more blocks away.

Re: University/College
Well I've been bouncing around my community college for the last couple of years, finally got a lot done last year though when I went back after working full time in 2009. I'm a little over halfway to getting an Associates in IT or Electronics which I'd like to do eventually, but money calls right now so I can't afford it and I've always been paying for classes and everything myself, don't really have family funds to fall back on like some others can.
I've been considering maybe going the certifications route though for awhile, has anyone here done that? I guess I'd go for the essential A+, and then I'd be interested in like Network+ and probably Cisco. Or maybe I can just find some other alternatives to school, specific training programs and whatnot. Who knows, right now I'm worried about money. lol

I'll have to check out their thrift stores then as well. I could always use some more Genesis games.
