Hey guys, yeah its been a long time since I have been on. I see a lot of new usernames on here now lol. Anyways life has settled back down thought I would get back on and show the new Theater/Game Room. I am running a 55 inch vizio HDTV, Onkyo TX607, Polk TSI500's for the fronts, Polk CS20 for center, Polk TSI 300's for rears, Polk DSWpro 660 for front sub, and Polk PSW125 for rear sub, I then have Buttkicker LFE's mounted under each couch with a 2500 watt Yamaha Poweramp running them. I have attached some screen shots as well. I hope you enjoy. I am Glad to be back.
Hey man, I'm glad to see you back! I was wondering where you'd gotten off to. If even I'm in Louisiana, I definitely want to swing by and check that out, as your setup looks awesome!
Nice Blu-Ray collection! BTW how come all those consoles and games are in the glass cabinet? Anything particularly special about them? Kinda hard to tell in the picture but you should be playing them!
Thanks guys for the kind words.Yeah new job, new hobbies and kids have kept me busy. But again its great to be back.
The back seat is actually the normal/minimum viewing distance and viewing height for seeing the difference in 1080p, your view actually would only be blocked if "some wore a HUGE sombrero". Now the front seat is perfection, when sitting your actual viewing distance is exactly 8ft from the screen. Which means you get the ULTIMATE 1080p viewing distance.
As most of you guys who remember me know , that this room used to be cluttered with gaming stuff. Well I realized I really wanted to make it a real multi media room/THEATER ROOM, and it actually be comfortable for other friends and couples to come and watch movies. So what I did is I moved all gaming stuff out that I or my 5 year old son doesn't play often.
As for the Nintendo cabinet, all of that is actually "extra" nintendo stuff I had and that cabinet used to have transformers in it, but I wanted something classier , mature and non cluttered and more of a conversation piece and something to still represent that I am still a gamer. So one morning I woke up with an idea to make it a visual/physical Nintendo timeline per say, I grabbed all my extra Nintendo stuff. I figured out what exactly I wanted in there to represent what "Nintendo" means to me, and what represented the epitome of Nintendo. I ended up hot gluing alot of that in there to keep it in place and I was throughly happy with the outcome.
I have gotten more compliments from visitors on the nintendo pieces now from "nongamers" than i ever did from have a buttload of transformers in there.
