HD Loader issues

Hey guys,
I finally got my hands on a ps2 memory card with fmcb installed and a Seagate 750gb ST3750640A hard drive to play games off of. However I am having issues with HD Loader, it is crashing/freezing at the logo/splash screen.

I formatted the hard drive using winhiip with 48 bit then installed about 150 iso's onto the drive using winhiip as well. Afterwards I put it into my fat ps2 and loaded it up. HDloader told me it couldn't detect any drives because they weren't set to master. I then reset the jumper to master and put it back in but now HDloader just freezes at the splash screen before loading the list of games.
Is there anything i'm doing wrong?

That is normal the first time you boot HDloader with pre-installed games. HdLoader is checking the games and size to make a log of the content.
Just wait a few minutes.

It'll do that after you install a new game too. The wait time is proportional to how many games are on the harddrive.
