Who's tried Moon Diver?

Post by Veno »

So I haven't been on my PS3 all week, so I went to check out the PSN store demos. One of the demo's that caught my eye was Moon Diver, maybe because of its anime drawn thumbnail. Well, I try it out, and am pleasantly surprised with how fun this game is.

I've never even heard of this game, and already after playing the demo, I feel like I gotta get a PSN card soon to buy it. It's pretty much a sidescrolling hack n slash, with 3d models instead of 2d sprites. But dont' let that bother you, the game looks pretty great. It's got a nice anime style to it, and it feels a bit old school. I think I'd compare it to Strider, since it's a sidescrolling hack n slash, and you can climb walls, ceilings, and platforms.

You've also got 4 player co-op, which I always think is awesome. You've also got a leveling system, with 4 different characters that have different stat growth.

So who's tried it? And if you haven't, I highly recommend the demo. It's only about 200 mbs, so it should be a quick download.

Awesome, glad I'm not alone on this. I haven't checked the price yet, but I'm hoping its 10-15 bucks. Even though I loved the demo, something about it tells me I dont' wanna spend more than 20 bucks on it.

But I do think it's one of the best things Square Enix recently put out.

I'll probably try it out soon, but I haven't yet. I saw it's $15 though. Looks like a solid game. Hard to go wrong with 4 player co-op in a game like this, it looks really cool.

$15 bucks it is. This'll be my next dlc game.

Also, after doing some reading, the guy who directed Strider directed this game, something close to that. So that's why it'll seem a bit similar to Strider.

Downloaded and tried this out last night. Enjoyed what I played, but not sure about the $15 price tag for a digital release. Also doesn't help that I'm trying to save atm
Still, if it happens to go on sale I might possibly pick it up~

Thanks for the recommendation!

Loving the demo. I made a topic in the platformers sub forum, but whatevs. The demo is so fun that I think I might justify the $15 digital download price tag and get it anyway. Damnit, too many things to buy right now. I need a headset, this, uncharted 2, stuff I'm going to buy from hobie... it never ends.
