Japanese 16-bit mega drive

I have a japanese mega drive 16-bit that is fully complete and i dont think its ever benn played because it doesnt look like its ever been taken out of the box. I would really like to know how much this item is worth so if anyone can help me i would highly appreciate it.

If it's been opened, maybe anywhere from $40-100. If actually unopened, it might get more.

Is it a Japanese MD or an Asian MD (both were sold in Japan)? Either way, the value should be similar.

... so how is the condition of the box and does it still have the manuals? that may also help the value.
