Dreamcast games on Steam

Post by AmishSamurai »

Sega added a bunch of Dreamcast games to Steam recently- Sega Bass Fishing, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5: Part 2, and Sonic Adventure DX. Just noticed that. Hopefully we'll see more.

Oh nice. I wonder if that DX version comes with the Game Gear games. Maybe Shenmue is not too far off.
Thanks everyone...

Sounds like they added all the games that were released on the Dreamcast collection for 360.

Kinda disappointed when I saw the game in my store

I have the same idea too. I don't understand why they insist with the bass fishing game. Is it any good?
Thanks everyone...

Ah Sega. Still has great ideas with poor execution. Sonic Adventure is just playable. Bass Fishing without the controller causes the game to loose it's draw. Crazy Taxi is great but it's missing the old soundtrack and all the real world businesses. Space Channel Part 2 is okay with me, we never got a real release of it here in the USA on the DC. It was released for the PS2 though ages ago. I've never found it to be a real fun game, it's okay I guess.

Lets see Jet Grind Radio, Sega Rally 2, Daytona 2001, and maybe Phantasy Star Online (unlikely).

I have Crazy Taxi and Space Channel 5 Special Edition on my PS2. Is there any reason for me to get any of the other games or to get the Steam versions of the ones I already have?

Can't think of a reason with Space Channel 5 but I recall the PS2 Crazy Taxi port being absolutely terrible, so it may be a good idea to get the Steam version.

I was wondering how long it'd take for Dreamcast games to show up on Steam since they were already on the Xbox360.
