how to know if a GBA game is factory sealed?

Post by kenshin-dono »

is there any guide with pictures out there to tell you how a game boy advanced game is factory sealed? I know Y folds for DS games, and newer XBOX, ps3 games, ect. But i dont know how to know with the GBA games. Im looking at picking up the old super robo taisen games and wanted to get them new, but dont know how to verify thats the case. I recently got what looks like a resealed copy of a DS game so id like to know how to check on something like this

you can see some examples up on ebay right now but i dont really see anything that stands out that would help me determine what the deal is.

thanks

umm thanks i guess thats nice for info on genesis and NES carts, but i watched the video and read the thread and theres no mention or pictures of what the seals on a GBA game are supposed to look like at all. I actually found that link to the ebay NES guide through google earlier.

GBA boxes have the horizontal seal too, or at least my Drill Dozer and Gunstar Super Heroes do. So the information about the NES games applies.

does it have the fold across the back of the case along with the h seal? And the little dip they usually have? Is that universal across all GBA games?

Both are open, but I kept the shrink on them. They both have a bit of dip on the sides and a little bit of overlap there too. Drill Dver came from Target, so I'm sure it's a real seal. The Gunstar came from a seller at an anime convention, but as I recall they had several sealed copies so I don't think it was a reseal either. I was late on the GBA bandwagon so my other boxed games were all bought opened.
