Hey All,
one of my SMS is acting up...everything works fine except "up" doesn't work no matter which controller I use. Ive tried the games and controllers on another SMS and everything was fine. No pins in the controller port appear to be damaged.
Any ideas?

Re: Sega MAster system control issue...
something may have gotten stuck in where the controller goes in your console. get a air blower or mini vac and see if that helps.

Re: Sega MAster system control issue...
"UP" is pin 1 on the console, the one on the upper left. If you can confirm that there is nothing externally wrong with it, and "UP" doesn't work with any controller you try, then you probably have a break in the line somewhere coming off of that pin. Make extra sure that it really is not just a bad pin connection before poking around inside the console.

Re: Sega MAster system control issue...
I am having the same issue -
I found that if I don't plug in a controller until after the game boots, the controllers work fine. Even unplugging and re-plugging in a controller will work for me. Have you tried this?
I would still like to get a permanent fix for this.
