GBA SP screen inside first gen GBA?

Was thinking about putting a back-lit GBA SP LCD screen inside a first gen GBA. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge if this would work? I really prefer the first GBA over the SP because of the form and would love to put a back lit screen in one

You can mod the Gba with a frontlit screen from an older Sp, but no you can't put the backlit screen in.

Good luck! (And btw, you can't "backlight" an original GBA screen. You can only frontlight it.)
