You could argue that Sony started it. This is LG fighting back after Sony made similar claims about LG infringing on cell phone patents or something.

Pf. We should just remove the patent system once and for all. It will spark a technology race between companies (cause they will only be able to use new technology as an advantage for a limited time) more ferocious than the 2 World Wars and the Cold War put together (if we didn't have all these giant wars this past century, technology would never had advanced so much). Which of course will create new jobs and see a LOT of new tech come out very fast.

Only problem would be reduced revenue for the executives when they'll need to put more work in
