Super Mario All-Stars Wii - RE-RELEASE

Post by Ziggy »

I just saw this on a couple of sites, figured I'd share for the people that missed out on getting a copy...

http://www.gamestop.com/wii/games/super ... homeflash2

So apparently this "Limited Edition" release just became a little less limited. If you look on the GameStop page, it says "Back by popular demand!" Both the GameStop page and the Amazon page say they'll have copies in stock on March 13th, and are accepting preorders. And it's still only $30.

So any one that missed out on getting a copy, and didn't wanna pay more than the retail price, here's your chance! I would suggest pre-ordering it on Amazon if you really wanna get it. If it sells as fast as it did for its initial release, you might end up not getting a copy.

I preordered the moment I heard about this. I was desperately looking for a copy when it first came out but now I don't have to be as drastic lol.

They should have brought Metroid Prime Trilogy back, too. I refuse to pay $80+ for it online

Are they gonna put more on it this time?

I'm seriously bothered by the fact that all Nintendo did was take a SNES rom and slap in on Wii disc. They didn't put the GOOD one there either. There is a version of Super Mario All-Stars on SNES that does have Super Mario World on it.

But 20 years later, we should have more. I'd include the original Mario Bros, all 3 Super Mario Bros. games, Lost Levels, Super Mario World, Super Mario Land 1 & 2, and Super Mario 64. And don't even try to tell me that wouldn't fit. That would fit with room to spare for art galleries and extras.

I can't believe my dupe thread is thriving! No merge?

I'm not saying that I don't want more, but I did read a few times, Miyamoto said they wanted to put out something that would be fun at a LOW PRICE. For $30, it's a great buy. Yes, for those of use that own the cart, $30 for a game we already own is stupid. But for those that don't own it or who never played it, $30 gets you 4 of the best games every made. PLUS the extra artwork and sound track.

My point is, this wasn't suppose to be a super duper extravaganza of a release. It was just suppose to be something to celebrate the anniversary at a low price point. And I think that's great. If you watch the interviews with Miyamoto on the Nintendo Channel, he sounds pretty sincere about this point. He doesn't sound like he's out to dissapoint us, at least he didn't come across that way to me.

Yes, you could argue that the version with SMW should have been included, but since that game is already on VC it makes sense not to include it from a business perspective. There's probably high-up suits in the company that have a lot of say in this sort of thing. Money hungry sons of bitches.

Original Mario NES - Sprites
Snes Mario - Remade Sprites
GBA- Remade
GB/ GB color mario

And a disc of all the mario tv series episode

Then this would of been an all star Collection Anniversary
