What do you guys think is the best out of the Advance family? I go back and forth between the two. I like the SP's clamp shell design, but also love the size of the Micro and how they managed to keep the headphone jack unlike the SP. I think the one thing that the SP does have on the Micro is the ability to play older GB and GBC games.
Also, another thing that I would like to ask is if anyone knows where to find Micro faceplates. Those seem to be impossible to find, especially for a reasonable price.

I think they're both great. I have 2 SP+, 1 SP, and 3 Micros. I bought a few faceplates from Nintendo last year but there doesn't seem to be any good source anymore.

Re: Gameboy Advance SP vs Micro
The best version is the later released sp with the brighter backlight.
Re: Gameboy Advance SP vs Micro
I own a Famicom Micro and a Nes SP and I use them both. I use the SP for protectiveness and the Micro for convenience factor. For me, it just have to do with the situation. So the winner is indecisive.

GB Player + Original Model as a controller.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Gameboy Advance SP vs Micro
Hard to choose if you are only playing GBA games only.
If you do have a good library of GB and GBC games, then you definitely want to get the SP AGS-101 models (with the back-lit screen). The Micro does have its charms with its compact design and customizable faceplates.

I like the Micro. Especially the colored versions in green, blue, or anniversary red. I had the later and it was a real beauty; maybe my favorite-looking Nintendo handheld of all time.

Re: Gameboy Advance SP vs Micro
I have one SP front lit (not used at all), one back lit SP (for backwards compatibility only), three Famicom Micros (JP versions, still new in boxes, only thing I did was charge them) and a normal Micro (the one I actually use for GBA games).
If I had to choose I'd got for Micro all the way. The SPs arent a big deal for me because I have and Android phone so I rum the EMUs off of that. Since its a touch screen phone GBA games cant really be done too well at all so the Micro gets used for it.

I just caved in and bought a new 20th anniversary Micro. I can't wait to get it, but I'm worried about not being able to get spare faceplates for it. Not to mention a 20th anniversary ones.
